New Mexico – A woman accused of impersonating country singer Alison Krauss has been arrested. As reported by 4029TV.com, Peggy Sue Evers was extradited to Arkansas after being arrested in New Mexico for allegedly impersonating Krauss in an attempt to get money from an elderly man.

Evers previously pleaded guilty to impersonating Krauss after marrying the man. She received a sentence of eight years probation and was ordered to return items to the man that he had given her. A warrant for her arrest was issued after she missed a subsequent court date.

Evers, who was recently charged with failure to appear, has pleaded not guilty to the charge. Her trial date is set for Feb. 15.
