Los Angeles – Actress Angelina Jolie revealed in a recent interview that she would be open to pursuing a career in politics. As reported by WebProNews, the “Maleficent” star expressed in an interview with “Vanity Fair” that a political career may afford her the opportunity to do more with her humanitarian work.

Jolie is quoted as stating in the interview, “When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered… Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility.”

She further states of the possible impact her acting career also has on her efforts, “But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful—I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”

Jolie, who married fellow actor Brad Pitt this year, serves as a special envoy to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
