Seattle – International soccer star Hope Solo is set to head to trial in January on charges stemming from a domestic violence incident in June. As reported by The Seattle Times, Kirkland Municipal Court judge Michael Lambo has set a trial date for January 20 in the case.

Solo was charged with two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault following an incident at a family gathering in which she allegedly hit her nephew and half-sister. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The attorney of the 33-year-old two-time Olympic gold medalist was the victim in the incident at the time of her arrest.
