Pennsylvania – Multiple explosions led to a two-alarm fire in Maytown that officials were trying to tame as roads in the area remained closed. As reported by Lancaster Online, state police bomb squad and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officials worked to detonate live rounds of fireworks last week that were found after the fire began.

Susquehanna Regional police Lt. Stephen Englert stated that an ATF specialist was working to determine the cause of the fire last Monday, but there were challenges. “Because of the extent of damage — it’s making it difficult…There’s not much left,” Englert said.

According to Englert, ATF officials were called in due to explosives being involved.

Two people were reportedly injured in the fire.
