California – Olympian Lolo Jones and her dancing partner Keo Motsepe were the first pair eliminated from this season of “Dancing with the Stars.” As reported by The Washington Post, Jones, a track and field and bobsled athlete who competed in the Summer and Winter Olympic games, stated her poor performance was in part due to a “miscued text message.”
As noted in the report, some suggest that in addition to her performance, Jones’ communication while defending herself to the judges may have also not resonated well with audiences, and led to her short time on the program.
Judges gave the duo a score of 22 out of 40.
Jones competed in the Olympics for track and field in 2008 and 2012. She also competed with the U.S. bobsled team at the Winter Olympics this year.
