Ferguson, Mo – Protestors are firmly seeking the recusal of the county prosecutor investigating the police shooting of an unarmed 18-year-old in Ferguson. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the demand was also made for the arrest of Darren Wilson, the police officer involved in the shooting of Michael Brown, during the St. Louis County Council meeting on Tuesday.

Protest leaders expressed their intent to expand the protests with demonstrations at upcoming football games.

Critics are seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor in the case, expressing concerns about whether county prosecutor Bob McCulloch would be biased in the case.

The case has been sent to a grand jury to determine whether the officer’s use of lethal force was justified.
