Louisiana – The Discovery Channel has put an end to the nearly three-year run of the reality show “Sons of Guns” following the arrest of its main star. As reported by CNN, the decision was made after Will Hayden was arrested for aggravated rape.

Hayden was booked into Louisiana’s East Baton Rouge Parish jail on Wednesday. He had been released on a $150,000 bond two weeks prior after being arrested for child molestation and a crime against nature.

The Discovery Channel is quoted by CNN as releasing a statement about the show cancellation saying, “Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of ‘Sons of Guns’ and cancel the series.”

As noted in the report, additional details related to the charges have been sealed by a court order.
