Honolulu – The ex-boyfriend of a missing pregnant woman has been indicted on charges in connection with her disappearance. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Steven Capobianco, 24, was indicted by a Maui grand jury for second-degree murder for the killing of Carly Scott, 27. The body of Scott, who was 5 months pregnant with Capobianco’s child at the time of her disappearance in February, has never been found.

Capobianco has reportedly been held at the Maui Community Correctional Center for unrelated charges. He has denied allegations that he killed Scott and also stands accused of burning her vehicle to cover up the crime.

Capobianco is being held on bail set at $500,000. The indictment accuses him of causing Scott’s death in an especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel manner, manifesting exceptional depravity.”
