Houston, Texas – The wife of R&B singer Russell Neal was found dead inside the couple’s home on Wednesday. As reported by Billboard, the member of the 1990s R&B Group Hi-Five, was placed in police custody after his 24-year-old wife Catherine Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges have been filed against Neal, 40. Authorities were still investigating the incident at the time of the report. According to some reports, the couple had an argument prior to Martinez’s body being discovered.

An attorney for Hi-Five, Chris Brown, is quoted by TMZ as stating of the death, “We are aware of the situation and are presently evaluating it.”

Hi-Five had several hits in the 1990’s including songs from their multiplatinum selling self-titled album debut.
