Woman arrested in Houston fatal hit-and-run

Texas – A woman was arrested in a hit-and-run accident in Houston that left three teenagers dead. As reported by Reuters, the 23-year-old woman, Raquel Vasquez-Hernandez, was charged with multiple counts of failure to stop and render aid after allegedly causing the accident and fleeing on foot.

According to police, the three teenagers killed are believed to be siblings. Vasquez-Hernandez reportedly struck the vehicle they were riding in after running a red light. She was found after a witness reported her whereabouts to police.

A police statement is quoted as stating of Vasquez-Hernandez’s arrest, “She is accused for her role in the deaths of three people whose identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.”
