Atlanta – Apollo Nida, the husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks has pleaded guilty to charges linked to a $2.3 million fraud scheme. As reported by Us Weekly, the reality star pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud after being accused of stealing checks, filing fraudulent tax returns, and other activities with co-conspirators.

Nida and the group began the activities in 2009, according to federal prosecutors who say they also made phony claims against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in multiple states.

U.S. Marshals questioned Nida in January. He is reportedly facing up to 30 years in prison and up to a $1 million fine. As noted in the report, a sentencing hearing has been set for July in the case.
