Los Angeles – Actress Teri Polo recently filed for bankruptcy in Los Angeles, as reported by Yahoo Celebrity, the star of the “Meet the Parents” trilogy claims in her filing that her assets are estimated to be less than $50,000 and that she has debts approaching $1 million.

Included in the list of liabilities claimed are $745,000 owed to the IRS, $30,000 to American Express, and $30,000 in fees to a landlord, which are under dispute. The landlord, Edwin McPherson, filed a lawsuit against Polo earlier this year claiming that the home she was renting had been left in “deplorable condition.”

Polo, 44, has reportedly yet to comment on the disputed claim or the bankruptcy filing. According to the filing, the actress has agreed to mandatory credit counseling.

Polo currently stars in the ABC Family show “The Fosters.”
