Dallas – A North Texas church that now has a colossal chalk drawing of Jesus on its lot may have broken a world record. As reported by Fox 10 News, the 17,000 square foot portrait was completed on the parking lot of the Fellowship Church in Grapevine on Wednesday, just days shy of Easter Sunday.

As noted in the report, the design is viewable by thousands of people on planes landing at the nearby DFW Airport everyday.

Fellowship Church Pastor Ed Young is quoted in the report as stating of the portrait, “Easter is always a time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. This giant chalk drawing on our church’s parking lot is just a great way to connect with so many people and to remind us what this week is all about. We’re excited to do this as we attempt to make history by pointing to the greatest story in history!”
