US – US Airways stated that the incident involving a pornographic tweet being sent to a customer in response to their complaint was being investigated. As reported by Reuters, the airline made the statement Tuesday after issuing an apology the day prior.

Davien Anderson, a spokesman for US Airways, said the tweet of a naked woman with a toy airplane between her legs had been deleted immediately, and an initial investigation found the post had been made by another user who posted to its Twitter feed.

Anderson is quoted as saying of the matter in an emailed statement, “We apologize for the inappropriate image we recently shared in a Twitter response… We deeply regret the mistake and we are currently reviewing our processes to prevent such errors in the future.”
