Murrysville, Pa – The motive for a student going on a stabbing rampage at the 1,200-student Franklin Regional High School is unknown police say. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), efforts to establish a motive for the violent attack had been stalled by the hospitalization of many of the victims and refusal of the suspect to provide details according to a police chief who spoke on the matter on Friday.

Chief Thomas Seefeld is quoted by the AP as stating, “At this point I don’t have anybody that, you know, was targeted… I know the issue of bullying has been brought up but his attorney has even said … that bullying is not part of this and we have no evidence or reason to believe that it is.”

Alex Hribal has been charged with 21 counts of aggravated assault and four counts of attempted homicide in connection with stabbing incident.

Hribal’s attorney is reportedly seeking a psychiatric evaluation of his client.
