London – A London teenager died after a suspected overdose of the drug ecstasy at an illegal rave in London. As reported by AFP, two men have since been charged in connection with supplying the drugs.

Daniel Spargo-Mabbs, 16, reportedly fell unconscious at the party, which took place on an industrial site. He was taken to a west London hospital and later moved to another location, but passed away on Monday.

Richard Parrish, headteacher at the school Daniel attended, Archbishop Tenison’s Church of England High School, is quoted as stating of his death, “He was a bright boy, he was an articulate boy, he was a boy of huge potential. He was going to go far… We are still stunned. We’re just beginning to emerge from that.”

London’s Metropolitan Police said the two men arrested in connection with an investigation into the incident, Nicqueel Pitrora, 18, and Ryan Kirk, 20, were charged with “being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.”
