Los Angeles – Kim Kardashian is drawing criticism over a purported effort to raise money to help victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. As reported by Omg!, the reality star received backlash online after announcing that a portion of the sale of some of her clothes and accessories would go to charity, and it was later found out that she would be keeping 90 percent of funds raised.

Kardashian is quoted as tweeting of the eBay auction, “Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organization that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications.”

Many later took to social media to express their disappointment after discovering that only 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the items, which included things from her own Kardashian Kollection, would go to charity.

One person, @RosieGunn1 tweeted, “@KimKardashian do you REALLY need 90% profit from the eBay clothes you sell, giving just 10% to the Philippine typhoon charity? #absurd

Several others tweeted similar posts on Friday.
