U.S. – Beauty retailer Sephora has decided to pull a lipstick in the popular makeup line of tattoo artist Kat Von D due to the purported offensiveness of its name. As reported by ET Online, groups including Family Member and All About Developmental Disabilities, have expressed discontent with the name “Celebutard,” which many customers have stated they had been offended by.

Sephora is quoted as stating to CTV News in a statement, “It has come to our attention that the name of one shade of lipstick we carry has caused offense to some of our clients and others. We are deeply sorry for that…We have ceased sale of that shade both in our stores and online.”

Kat Von D posted then deleted the comment “At the end of the day, it’s just a f***ing lipstick” on Twitter following the controversy.
