Salt Lake City – A Utah beauty pageant winner has been charged with bomb possession in connection with a purported prank. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Kendra McKenzie Gill was arrested last weekend, along with three others for allegedly tossing caustic chemical containing plastic bottles at people they knew while driving around.

Gill, 18, was crowned Miss Riverton earlier in the summer receiving a $2,000 scholarship.

Prosecutor Blake Nakamura is quoted by the AP as stating Friday of the four teens, “We don’t really understand a clear reason for their behavior… The reason we charged them is obviously, what they possessed was indeed explosives, and we’re alleging they were throwing them near homes and at people, and therefore, had the potential to cause a great deal of harm.”

Nobody was reportedly injured in the incident. Each of the alleged accomplices are facing four felony charges. If convicted on the charge of bomb possession, they could be sentenced to 1 to 15 years in prison.
