Imperial, Pa. — A hay wagon pulled by a tractor overturned during an anniversary party in western Pennsylvania, sending eight people to local hospitals. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, during a hayride on private property in Findlay Township, the Associated Press reported.

According to officials, there were about 20 people on the hay wagon when it began to slide down a hill, jackknifed, and ejected the adults and children from the wagon.

Police believe that wet grass may have been a factor in the accident.

Six of the injuries were reportedly classified as “moderate,” but everyone is in stable condition.

Investigations into the hay wagon accident are underway.
