Florida – A Florida highway patrolman was fired after cutting a lawmaker a break on a ticket. As reported by FloridaToday.com, now Former Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Charles Swindle was terminated from his job after failing to issue a ticket to Jacksonville Republican lawmaker Rep. Charles McBurney, who subsequently wrote a letter to Col. David Brierton, director of the FHP, regarding his traffic stop.
