Ohio – An Ohio college student has been granted a stalking order against her parents. As reported by Good Morning America, Aubrey Ireland, a 21-year-old student at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, filed the order alleging her parents attempted to control every aspect of her life day to day.

Ireland, who alleges her parents, David and Julie Ireland, have been given a co-dependency disorder diagnosis, is quoted in the report as stating, “My mom has always been very overly involved… I would have to get on Skype all the time to show them that I was in my dorm room, or there were nights I had to leave my Skype on all night and my mom would watch me basically sleep.”

Ireland’s parents have been ordered to stay away from their daughter, who is an only child, until September 2013. Due to the order, they are reportedly seeking to have thousands of dollars in tuition and college expenses they paid on their daughter’s behalf returned.
