Orange, California – Dennis Rodman has been ordered to pay $500,000 in back child support for children he shares with his ex-wife Michelle. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the former NBA player was found in contempt of court and sentenced to informal probation, which may warrant jail time if the child support is not paid.

As noted in the report, Rodman was previously ordered to perform community service in connection with contempt charges for failing to pay child support in 2009 and 2010.

Custody and visitation for the former couple’s son and daughter have yet to be arranged. A court date is set for Jan. 24 for the unresolved matters.

Michelle Rodman filed for divorce in 2004.
