Los Angeles – Former model of “The Price is Right” Brandi Cochran has won over $8.5 million in a pregnancy discrimination case filed against the show. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a jury awarded Cochran $7.7 million in punitive damages a day after awarding her $777,000 in actual damages in a case filed after she was denied being able to return to work after going on maternity leave in 2010.

Cochran, 41, is quoted by the AP as stating of the decision in the case against FremantleMedia North America and The Price is Right Productions, “I’m humbled. I’m shocked…I’m happy that justice was served today not only for women in the entertainment industry, but women in the workplace.”
