‘Fat Duck’ chefs fatally injured in collision in Hong Kong

Hong Kong – Two visiting chefs from the famed restaurant, The Fat Duck, have reportedly died in a collision in Hong Kong. As reported by CNN, Carl Magnus Lindgren, 30, from Sweden; Ivan Aranto Herrera Jorge, 34, of Briton, and their taxi driver were fatally injured in an accident Monday morning after a bus crashed into two vehicles and subsequently crushed the taxi into another bus.

Nina Colls, the communications director of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong hotel, where the chefs were staying, is quoted in the report as saying of the accident in a statement, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic event and our hearts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”

A reported additional 56 people sustained injuries in the accident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
