A workplace accident which left a man nursing a fractured foot has resulted in a successful compensation claim, with the victim winning thousands of pounds as a result.

Whilst working alone using an overhead crane to remove a steel billet, Mr F was injured when the sling collapsed. The billet subsequently rolled on to Mr F’s right foot, which was fractured even though he was wearing safety boots at the time. Mr F then brought a successful claim for compensation and was awarded £4,100 as a result of the inconvenience caused by his foot injury at work.

“Injuries sustained as a result of workplace accidents can have a seriously disruptive impact. Some people are left laid up and unable to work for weeks or months on end – and some find they simply can’t work to the same ability again,” said Andrea Bartfield, Solicitor at More4ULawyers. “It’s easy to be intimidated by the prospect of claiming compensation, but it’s vital that those who suffer injuries as a result of their employer’s negligence come forward and stand up for themselves. It’s often the only way to alert negligent employers to their own oversights.”

If you’ve been involved in an accident at work and been injured as a result, you may have grounds to make a successful claim for compensation. Likewise, it could be that stressful experiences at work – such as bullying – have affected your mental health, and again you could be entitled to a pay-out. To find out more about whether or not your claim for compensation is likely to succeed, arrange a consultation with More 4 U Lawyers today.
