Actress and R&B star killed in pedestrian accident in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – Natina Reed of the R&B group Blaque was killed in a pedestrian accident in Atlanta on Friday. As indicated on the Hip-Hop Media Training blog, Reed, who also appeared in the movie “Bring It On,” was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center where she was pronounced dead Friday night.

Gwinnett Sgt. Rich Long is quoted in the report as saying in a statement of the accident, “Information received indicated that CPR was being performed by a person on the scene…Preliminary information indicates that Reed was in the roadway on Lawrenceville Highway near Hamilton Road when struck. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be not at fault and there are no charges pending.”

Reed, who would have turned 33 on Sunday, and Dogg Pound rapper Kurupt shared a 10-year-old son.
