New York, NY — The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ADS Inc have announced a voluntary recall for Cyclone Swing Seats for fall hazards posed to consumers by the defective product. The CPSC announced the nationwide product recall on Sept. 27, 2012.

The recall was issued after discovering that plastic swing seats can break during use, posing a fall hazard to children.

“This recall involves green, blue or yellow plastic, disc-shaped Cyclone swing seats. The swings are about 12 inches in diameter and have a cone-shaped plastic piece in the middle to hold the swing’s rope. Only swings with date codes ‘2012 5 18’ through ‘2012 6 25’ stamped on the underside in black are included in this recall,” the CPSC reported.

Consumers are advised to contact ADS Inc. to receive a full refund or a replacement swing. All known customers are being contact directly.

For more information concerning the product recall, consumers can contact ADS Inc. at (800) 985-7659 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit the website at www.swingsetmall.com and www.playsetparts.com and click on the “Safety” page to view the “Recalls” section.
