Food Network star injured in taxi cab accident

Philadelphia – Food Network star and former host of Nickelodeon’s “Double Dare,” Marc Summers, was injured in an accident while riding in a taxi cab days ago. As reported by Access Hollywood, the “Unwrapped” host sustained serious injuries to his face in the accident, after the cab hydroplaned in the rain.
Summers is quoted in the report as stating of the accident to People magazine, “I knew when [the driver] lost control that I was in trouble. I was on the phone with my supervising producer and I said, ‘Oh my God, we’re going to crash… Next thing I knew, I woke up and had blood all over me.”
The star is further quoted as stating of the operation he had to undergo to repair damage to his face, “Everything went back into place… In a few weeks, the swelling will go down and no one will ever know … I’ll be a new guy.”
