Los Angeles – Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has filed a multi-million dollar extortion lawsuit against a former driver and head of her security team. As reported by Reuters, the lawsuit was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court against Hakob Manoukian for an alleged blackmail attempt.
Manoukian is accused of threatening to reveal sensitive information about the star that was purportedly obtained during his employment. The lawsuit is reportedly a counterclaim in response to a claim filed by Manoukian, who has alleged he was demoted after complaining about being denied pay and mistreated by Benny Medina, Lopez’s manager.
The lawsuit is seeking $20 million in damages.
