Minneapolis – The wife of former Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser, Amy Senser, has been sentenced in connection with a hit-and-run accident death. As reported by Good Morning America, Senser received a 41-month prison sentence for an accident last year in which 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong was killed last year.

Senser is quoted in the report as saying to the family of Phanthavong during Monday’s sentencing, “I’m sorry…I hope you can believe me. I never saw your son that night, and if I had, I would have stopped to help him.”

Senser’s husband, Joe, played with the Minnesota Vikings in the 1980s prior to sustaining a knee injury. He has since worked as a commentator and is co-owner of a restaurant chain in the Minneapolis-St. Paul-area.
