Manchester Township, N. J. – A New Jersey woman has filed a lawsuit for an accident linked to a throw by a little league player at a game two years ago. As reported on the Prep Rally Yahoo! Sports blog, the woman, Elizabeth Lloyd is seeking damages for her claim in the amount of $150,000 in connection with a 2010 Manchester Little League game, during which she was purportedly injured when then 11-year-old catcher Matthew Migliaccio made an overthrow to a pitcher during a warmup.

Llyod, who was reportedly hit in the face during the incident, now claims the wayward throw was done with intent and her lawsuit has classified the act as assault and battery.

Anthony Pagano, an attorney for the Migliaccio family is quoted in the report as stating of the case, “I just think that it’s disgusting that you have people suing an 11-year-old kid for overthrowing his pitcher in the bullpen… It’s horrible this can actually happen and get this far. Ultimately, hopefully, justice will prevail.”
