Hanover, NH — A work-related accident left a construction worker with a serious head injury after falling at least 15 feet from a lift. The construction accident occurred Tuesday afternoon, March 13, 2012, at the Hanover Inn, reported WMUR.com.

Hanover police reported that the hook block of a crane inadvertently made contact with a scissor lift that the unidentified construction worker was working on. The impact of the crane hook caused the lift to fall over with the man inside.

Responding emergency crews rushed the man, who is from Vermont, to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for medical treatment of his serious head injury. His current condition is unknown at this time.

It is also unknown what caused the hook to hit the scissor lift, resulting in the accident.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the construction accident.
