Bloomington, MN — Fire and burn hazards prompted the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and The Toro Company to voluntarily recall Toro Power Clear Snowblower and the Toro 20″ Recycler Mower. The CPSC announced the product recall on April 26, 2011.
The product recall was issued after noticing that the carburetors on both products develop fuel leaks, which can ignite when it is exposed to an ignition source.
The Toro PC-421Q Snowblowers and the Toro 20’ Recycler Mowers’ model numbers and serial numbers involved in this recall can be found at: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml11/11207.html
Consumers are advised to contact a Toro Service Dealer to schedule a free repair.
For more information concerning the product recall, including the name of a Toro dealer in your area, consumers can contact Toro toll free at 877-738-4440 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT, or visit Toro’s website: www.toro.com.
