Lutz, FL — About 29,000 Pampers® Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers were voluntarily recalled for choking hazards to young children by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Key Baby LLC. The CPSC announced the product recall on April 5, 2011.
The product recall was issued after being alerted that the pacifiers failed to meet federal safety standards by posing a choking hazard to young children.
“The pacifier comes in yellow, pink or blue colors and is made of silicone. Only ‘Stage 1’ pacifiers are recalled. ‘Stage 1’ and ‘Ortho’ or ‘Bulb’ are printed on the package. The recalled pacifiers have an oval-shaped mouth guard and ‘Pampers’ molded on to the handle side of the mouth guard. The product comes two per package,” reported the CPSC press release.
Consumers are advised to contact Key Baby for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund or a $10 coupon toward a purchase of any Pampers® Natural Stages products.
For more information concerning the product recall, consumers can contact Key Baby toll-free at (800) 447-1224 anytime, or visit their web site at www.key-baby.com.
