Los Angeles, CA—A stunt woman for FX’s show “Justified” is recovering at an area hospital after sustaining critical injuries in a slip-and-fall on the set. Initial reports stated the woman was struck in a “slow-speed collision,” but officials denied the reports and said she slipped and hit her head around 1 a.m., February 3, 2011, as reported by MSNBC.

The stunt woman sustained critical injuries in the accident, and was rushed to a nearby hospital by the L.A. Fire Department with severe head trauma, reported TMZ.

Production of the show was shut down, but resumed the next day.

Doctors have since removed her ventilator and she is breathing on her own.

Officials with Cal/OSHA are expected to conduct an investigation into the workplace accident.

“Justified” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on cable’s FX network.
