San Pedro, CA—A violent crash in San Pedro left a car wedged between two houses several feet off the ground, miraculously leaving no one seriously hurt. The accident occurred around 1:35 a.m., on Sunday, December 12, 2010 in the 1400 block of West 17th Street, as reported by KTLA.

Police officials reported that the 18-year-old driver of a Ford Fusion ran a stop sign at the intersection of 17th Street and Weymouth Avenue and struck a curb. The Ford crashed through a fenced and somehow became stuck between two homes, five feet off the ground.

Officers don’t believe the driver ever applied the brake.

The driver nor his 18-year-old passenger were seriously hurt in the crash. It is unknown if they were transported to a hospital for treatment.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

No one inside the homes were hurt, but the houses did sustain significant damage. One of the houses, which sustained the most damage, was recently just purchased. The homeowners planned on moving in next week.
