El Segundo, CA—The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has voluntarily recalled some fresh&easy “Ginger Spice Cookie Dough” (16 oz), due to undeclared peanuts the product contains. The recall was announced on November 8, 2010.

The recalled cookie dough was sold in Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market Stores in several states including California, Nevada and Arizona.

The FDA reported, “The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a limited number of the fresh&easy™ ‘Ginger Spice Cookie Dough’ (UPC 5051379045210) may contain Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. The mislabeled fresh&easy™ Ginger Spice Cookie Dough all carry an ‘Enjoy by’ date of DEC 03 and have been removed from all Fresh & Easy stores.”

Consumers can receive a full refund by returning the unused product, empty product containers or show a receipt as proof of purchase to any Fresh & Easy store.
