Pleasanton, CA—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Ross Stores Inc. have voluntarily recalled about 185 Iron Lover’s benches. The CPSC announced the recall on October 13, 2010; over a fall hazard the benches pose.

The recall was initiated after discovering that the bench can tip over when only one person is sitting on it, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

The CPSC press release stated, “The recalled metal two-seat bench is 51 inches long with SKU number 400051794482 printed on the price tag. The bench is a bronze color.” The benches were sold at Ross Stores nationwide between July 2010 and September 2010 for about $90.

Consumers are advised to stop using these benches and return them to any Ross store to obtain a full refund.

For more information, consumers can contact Ross at (877) 455-7677 at any time, or visit their website at www.rossstores.com.
