Lackawanna County PA Injury: Firework Accident at PNC Fields Seriously Injures 2

Lackawanna County, PA– Two people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries following a fireworks accident at PNC Field. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., on Friday, August 27, 2010, as reported by WNEP and CBS 3.
Following the Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre Yankees minor league game, fireworks exploded while still inside the projectile tube, which set off other fireworks.
Two International Fireworks Company employees, who were putting on the firework show, were seriously burned in the accident.
The workers, identified as Joseph Mascaro, 48, of Old Forge, and Herbert Truhe, 56, of Leighton, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
State police are investigating the firework accident.
