Alerts for South Carolina aviation accident attorneys- NTSB announced cause of plane crash that seriously injured Travis Barker and DJ AM.

Columbia, SC—Federal investigators have deemed underinflated tires to be the culprit in the notorious 2008 Learjet crash that resulted in four fatalities and left Travis Barker and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein seriously injured. National Transportation Safety Board Authorities (NTSB) announced the aviation accident’s investigatory findings Tuesday, April 6, 2010, according to information provided by E! Online.

According to a preliminary statement made by NTSB representative Peter Knudson on Sunday, September 21, 2008, “At 11:53 p.m. last night, a Lear 60, which is a twin-engine business jet, departed from Columbia Metropolitan Airport on runway 11. It overran the runway and went through a grass, overrun area. It came in contact with airport lights, an antenna array, through the airport perimeter fence, crossed a road and came to rest on [an embankment] on the other side of the road”, bursting into flames on impact.

Updated reports stated one of the aircraft’s tires blew out while the plane was traveling at a rate of approximately 150 mph. Pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, who had a mere 35 hours of experience flying the Learjet 60, allegedly attempted to press down on the plane’s brakes, subsequently causing all four tires to blow out, all the while damaging the aircraft’s hydraulic system, brakes and reverse thrusters.

The aviation accident’s only survivors were Travis Barker, former Blink-182 drummer, and DJ AM, who later died from an accidental overdose of pain medication, which he reportedly began abusing after the plane crash. Lawsuits filed with regard to the unfortunate Learjet crash have apparently been settled.
