A semi-truck crashed unto the back of a Kia Spectra on Interstate 15 near Cedar City, Utah.

Salt Lake City, UT—A couple who was on their way to Las Vegas to get married were involved in a massive 13-vehicle pile-up, which left the blushing bride dead. The horrific accident occurred on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 around 12:30 p.m., on Interstate 15 near Cedar City, Utah, as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune.

The excited couple, Kristen Kay Taylor, 25, and Gregory Bennin, were meeting their friends and family members in Las Vegas, Nevada for their upcoming nuptials. While they were traveling on I-15, they came upon a tractor-trailer that had been involved in a wreck with numerous other vehicles. Another semi-truck came from behind the couple and slammed into their Kia Spectra. The collision smashed the small car in-between the two big rigs. Tragically Taylor was killed in the massive wreck. Her fiancé, Gregory, managed to survive the wreck, but lost part of his left arm in the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries by responding emergency crews. It was not reported how the pile-up started or who was at fault. The families and Taylor’s fiancé are devastated. A full investigation is ongoing.
