Oregon automobile accident lawyers alerts- Three kids were injured after they were hit by a car while crossing the street in a crosswalk.

Aloha, OR—The young pedestrians were hit while trying to cross a notoriously dangerous intersection on Sunday, December 20, 2009. The vehicle struck the kids in a marked crosswalk around 5:17 p.m., as reported by KATU.

According to police officials, a car that failed to see the kids crossing Tualatin Valley Highway, hit all three children. A 10-year-old girl reportedly sustained road rash, while her 14-year-old brother sustained critical injuries and was seen with a neck brace at the scene of the accident. A 13-year-old girl, a neighbor of the siblings, also sustained critical injuries when the car hit her. Both the 14-year-old boy and the 13-year-old girl were reportedly struck hard enough to fly over the car. All three kids were transported by emergency medical services (EMS) teams to area hospitals for treatment if their injuries. Fire officials stated the three victims were wearing dark clothing at the time of accident, but their mother refutes those claims. The driver who hit the three kids reportedly did not call 911 for help, but instead the driver got out the car and yelled at the injured kids for not making sure all cars were stopped before crossing the road. Police officials are currently conducting a full investigation into the incident.
