Beverly Hills, CA—“The Simple Life” star, Nicole Ritchie, was injured in an automobile crash after she was rear-ended by paparazzi. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) happened on Monday, October 5, 2009 around 2:00 p.m., on Wilshire Boulevard, as reported by US Magazine.

Nicole Ritchie, 28, the adopted daughter of soul singer Lionel Richie, was reportedly driving her Land Rover on Wilshire Blvd when she was rear-ended by a Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep identified by as, Edwardo Arrivebene, 29, who is a freelance photographer, was apparently driving without a license. Ritchie stated she was in pain, but refused to be transported by emergency medical services (EMS) teams to a local hospital for treatment.

Ritchie was then reportedly taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by her mother for treatment of her undisclosed injuries. An unidentified adult was also traveling inside Ritchie’s vehicle when the collision occurred. It is unknown if the unidentified passenger sustained any injuries in connection with the wreck. Police officials cited Arrivebene for driving without a license. Arrivebene was also reportedly arrested by police officials and booked in a local jail. Police officials are reportedly conducting a full investigation into the two-vehicle crash.
