Alabama personal injury attorney alert- five vehicle car crash results in back and neck injuries and a possible traumatic brain injury.

Huntsville, AL—A five-vehicle wreck on Saturday, August 22, 2009, left six people injured and killed one woman. The multi-car crash happed at the intersection of Jordan Lane and University Drive at 8:31 a.m., as reported by The Huntsville Times.

According to police officials, Thelma Holloway, 82, reportedly slammed into the back of a long line of cars that were waiting in the southbound turning lanes of Jordan Lane to turn east onto University Drive. Holloway was transported by area emergency medical services (EMS) crews to Huntsville Hospital where she died in the emergency room. Police officials believe she may have suffered from a stroke or heart attack, which could have contributed to the crash. The first vehicle struck by Holloway left Cynthia Sanderson, 53, of Madison, with a possible broken shoulder and leg. Two unidentified men in the vehicle in front of Sanderson’s were also injured, but refused medical treatment. Jennifer Ragguci, 31, occupied the vehicle in front of the two men, and sustained shoulder, back and neck injuries. The vehicle in front of Ragguci’s, driven by Ricky Hawkins, 43, was left with a possible traumatic brain injury (TBI), and neck injuries. Hawkins son, Joseph Hawkins, 5, was also injured in the crash. Ricky and Joseph Hawkins were reportedly transported by EMS teams to Crestwood Medical Center for a full evaluation of their injuries.
