Ogden, UT—A Thursday night two-vehicle wreck at 6200 South and Highway 89, left six people with injuries. The crash happened on August 13, 2009 at 10:30 p.m., as reported by the Standard-Examiner.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office reported a purple Kia Sephia was traveling northbound on Highway 89, when the car took a left turn on the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 and collided with a southbound maroon Ford Taurus. Police officials stated it looked like the Kia turned in front of the Taurus. Two males and two females traveling in the Kia, were apparently on their way home from Lagoon when the accident occurred. The driver and passengers of the Kia, all suffered injuries, but only one occupant was transported by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to a local hospital for treatment. The Taurus was occupied by a young couple, which also suffered injuries in the collision. The couple opted to seek their own medical treatment of their injuries. Both vehicles were reportedly totaled in the crash. Accident investigators said all six victims were wearing their seatbelts and the air bags were deployed. Alcohol was not a factor in the two-car wreck. Weber County police officials are investigating the accident.
