Brighton man suffers traumatic brain injury!

Boston area man struck by driver while placing child in car.
Boston, MA–Boston Police officers arrested 47 year-old, female driver, on Wednesday, after she hit a Brighton father while he placed his one year-old child into a rear car seat. As reported by the Boston Globe, a 30 year-old man was hit shortly after 8:00 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Cambridge and Gordon streets. The victim, whose named was not released by the Boston Police Department was transported by Brighton area emergency medical services (EMS) personnel to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The young father reportedly suffered a massive traumatic brain injury, and the child was uninjured in the car versus pedestrian accident. Boston Police Department officials stated the driver was taken into custody and charged with several criminal charges. She was scheduled to be arraigned in Brighton District Court before the judge on Thursday morning for leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
