FHP trooper hits Volusia County(Daytona Beach) mother plus three children

Daytona Beach, FL(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) http://www.flhsmv.gov/fhp trooper hit an automobile today driven by a mother with three children passengers. The police officer car crash happened on LPGA Boulevard in east Volusia County at about 3:15 p.m., Thursday. According to FHP accident investigators the trooper was attempting to stop another motor vehicle driver when the car crash occurred.
Preliminary reports claim the police officer was pursuing a driver, who was eluding the traffic stop, when his cruiser struck the family. The driver and three children passengers were transported by emergency medical personnel to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol officer and the drivers involved in the multiple motor vehicle collision (MVC) are being investigated. The vehicle that fled the officer’s pursuit hit several cars, disabling his own automobile, and then fled on foot.
