Illinois Rev. Winters shot and killed at First Baptist Church near St. Louis.

St. Louis, IL (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The Associated Press (AP) reported the release of preliminary autopsy results of gunned down Rev. Fred Winters by the Madison County Coroner’s office on Monday. Rev. Winters was shot and killed while delivering a sermon on Sunday to about 150 worshippers of the First Baptist Church outside of St. Louis, Illinois.

Steve Nonn, Madison County Coroner, states the autopsy revealed Winters likely died almost instantly when the bullet he was shot with went straight through his heart. Illinois State Police homicide detectives suspect a 27 year-old male gunman from nearby Troy. The identity of the murderer is being withheld pending possible charges and the investigation of motive and intent remains ongoing.
