LIRR commuter train crashes into a car in Syosset killing driver New York personal injury plaintiff’s attorneys.
New York, NY (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Newsday reported Friday afternoon a fatal train crash occurred at the Robbins Lane, Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) crossing just one hour after the gate was repaired by rail workers. A car was struck by the commuter train traveling form Penn Station east bound to Huntington station pushing it several hundred feet before stopping near a Snapple distribution plant close to Michael Street.
Newsday reported the rail road crossing gate had malfunctioned on Thursday because of high winds. Two other LIRR train incidents on Thursday, including the Bethpage crossing gate incident at Broadway injuring 8 passengers, happened due to severe wind gusts.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority police are investigating the fatal train accident which occurred at about 9 a.m. Friday morning.
